The social media revolution 2012!
The video we watched today seemed as if it were trying to scare people and really get the point across that we use the internet for just about everything. Some people dont go a single day without checking their facebook or yahoo or simply googling something. We do not depend on the internet its self as humans but if we didnt have it, after having it for soooo long I'm sure we would have a huge challenge to face. The video said that the news finds us, in many ways that is true! If you want to know what happened last night or even that night just check facebook, its sure to be on there. Internet is used word wide for things as simple as talking to your friend in anther state or searching something for your school research project. The numbers that were shown in the video were unbelievable. Even old people keep up the internet now.

Reflection on class
I think that the networks such as diigo, that we are builing are going to be helpful even as we get older. We will be able to use these networks to study and so much more. I also think that learning how to tell if a website is a reliable source now is awesome! It will be easy for us in the futer to be able to know what we should be taking information from and what not. Knowing that websites that usually end in .edu or .gov an such will most likely be helpful sources rather than the common .com. A lot of people make the common mistake of believing everything on the internet when they shouldnt. The things that we are learning in this class will help us so much in the long run.

technolgy today.
I agree that technology is both helpful and harmful. It is important for people to know how to use technology because jobs are always changing and many things in the world today depend heavily on technology alone. I also believe that gaming for some people, adult and children has become a problem in some ways. My parents didn't allow me to play video games growing up and I think that reflects on some habits you have later on in life. Some people are constantly playing a game, either on their cell phones or laptop or a gaming device. I don't know how some people can study and be on facebook and be on youtube listening to music, it is very distracting. But I personally do it, and when I do, I don't retain as much. Technology changes everyday, for the better and the worse.
